CDC Director Authorized Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine for Emergency Use in Children 5–11 Years of Age

The County expects an increased vaccination supply in the coming weeks.

People who received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine at least two months ago and are 18 years of age or older are recommended to receive a booster shot.

The Public Health Department strongly recommends everyone 12 years and older to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. There are still plenty of vaccines for members of the public over 12 years old.

Free COVID Testing Continues

NEW! Palo Alto Unified School District announced expanded testing efforts at Cubberley Pavilion, Monday — Friday from 10 a.m. — 6 p.m. No advanced registration is required but it is recommended.

Curative testing is offered every Tuesday at the Mitchell Park Library parking lot and Wednesday at City Hall.

Santa Clara County is hosting a discussion with Matrix Consulting Group about current and future fire service needs. Provide your input about fire services, wild land fire risks and mitigation efforts you’d like implemented.

The next Family Movie Night on November 5 features holiday favorite, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Movie screening is at Mitchell Park Athletic Field. Seating starts at 5:30 p.m. and the show begins at 6:30 p.m.

This event is free to the public, but pre-registration is required.

The Palo Alto Junior Museum & Zoo reopens to the public with a completely rebuilt facility and reimagined visitor experience on Friday, November 12 with a limited Friday through Sunday schedule. Expanded Tuesday-Sunday schedule begins December 21.

The new Highway 101 Pedestrian/Bike Bridge will connect the community all year round to amenities like the Baylands Golf Links, hiking and biking the Baylands Nature Preserve, experiencing Byxbee Park, connecting to the San Francisco Bay Trail, and so much more.
