An Ongoing List of Things I’ve Looked Into for the Month

The pinnacle of this month was getting out of Alaska for a few days. I went to Durham to a conference where I got to meet a lot of government folks and get reenergized about my work.

It was also the explosion of some new ways of thinking for me from and audio and qualitative data standpoint. I’m really starting to understand how to make the most of all the data that I encounter on a daily basis and I’m able to utilize it a lot better with more efficiency.

In addition to getting organized, I really let myself be unorganized at the beginning of the month when it came to music.

Seeing JMSN was a freaking great time. I needed that energy as well as Emma Hill, Tanana Rafters, Blackwater Railroad etc. Getting out and seeing live music was a joy, and I’m thinking about ways to document it more, or do it more.

Assembly meetings continue to be a fun thing I do, but I’m getting better at anticipating what going to happen with them, as well as all the other meeting around them. I’m honestly thinking about stopping going because it takes an entire evening away from me where I could be making money or getting into some other kind of trouble. I’ll have to consider my options in the second half of the year.

This month was the start of my return to design. I’m looking into a publication project and design build stuff as well as data and hell 3D modeling. Those are all in flux and will take my time for the next few months.

Looking forward to my favorite month, the summer’s gonna swosh on by if I’m not careful. Looking forward to enjoying it!
