Some of my Favorite Programming Resources

One of my favorite things about the programming community is that people are very willing to share their knowledge. There is a never ending amount of resources on the internet to help you learn to program or to help you grow as a programmer. Here are a few resources that I have found helpful in my programming journey.

Lydia Hallie’s JS Resources

Lydia Hallie is a 21 year old developer who has done an amazing job at compiling JS questions and resources. Whether you’re trying to learn more about JS, data structures, or just brush up on JS principles for an interview Lydia’s resources can very helpful. Lydia has a ton of resources to choose from but here are the two I have found most useful.

Open Source Society University (OSSU)

A second resource I have found helpful is the OSSU. Coming from a bootcamp, there are definitely core principles about computer science that aren’t taught they way they would be in a computer science degree. OSSU is essentially a full CS degree course with resources for everything you need to become a well rounded programmer. This repo will help you find open courses to learns anything from basic computer science principles to more advanced concepts.

API Lists

I think one of the coolest things about programming is the ability to create applications that revolve around topics that interest you. Whether you want to work with finance data, weather, food & drinks, or even your favorite movie, there is most likely an API out there for you to use. Below are a couple of my favorite lists of APIs that can help you find your next app idea.
