Sadness

We have been so quiet about our problems that sometimes we tend to forget that we are hurting and when everything starts creeping back, we can’t do a thing about it. They eat us alive.
Sometimes, we get weak too.
Sometimes, at night, we sit quietly on chair, feeling very bad.
Sometimes, negativity takes over us. And It takes mastery over us and that’s when we get devoured.
We can’t think straight and most of the time with a heavy heart, we just thrust ourselves to sleep.
We do it sometimes — we disappear, because we have no one to talk to when we are down.
It’s not that we have no one to talk to.
It’s just that, we can’t push ourselves to spill over sadness to anyone whenever we’re sad.
Maybe because the wounds haven’t been healed and we are still at war with ourselves.
Or maybe because It’s not just about the sadness alone,
It’s also about the inability to start and do something even if we force ourselves to.
There’s this void that stops us from moving and thinking.
We can’t force ourselves.
We feel empty.
It’s like we’re stuck in a well in the middle of a desert.
We can shout until all the walls fall down and yet no one’s gonna hear us.
